Creative Cables UK

Creative Cables UK: configurable lighting and electrical components

Creative Cables UK is the British storefront of a lighting brand whose catalogue revolves around do-it-yourself and made-to-measure light fittings. The range is organised around three large blocks: finished lamps, textile electrical cable and the components needed to assemble or adapt a fixture. The company presents its output as original design with Made in Italy quality, and the site lets shoppers browse by product type, by room and by collection.

Lamps for indoor and outdoor use

The indoor lighting catalogue covers wall and ceiling lamps, pendant lamps, ceiling lights, floor lamps, table lamps and chandeliers, alongside lamps with plug, lamps with spotlights, gooseneck lamps and track lamps. Browsing can also be filtered by environment, with dedicated sections for the living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, studio and kids' room. Outdoors, the store lists pendant lamps, wall lights, string lights and plug-in lamps.

Several product families sit across these categories as named collections: Cage, Cabless, Filé, Flex, Mag-y, Porcelain, SHH, Spostaluce and Tubes for indoor use, and Marina, Modulair, Lumet and IO for outdoor lighting. Creative Tubes, Spostaluce, Porcelain and Modulair are also presented as collections tied to specific installation needs.

Textile cable as the core of the catalogue

Electrical cable is treated as a design element in its own right. The fabric cable range is grouped by finish — cotton, silk effect, hairy effect, Glitterati, jute, linen and metallic — and is complemented by outdoor cables, rope cables, Ultra Soft cables, cables for string lights, flat cables, large-section cables, 5x0.75 fabric cables and low-voltage textile cables. Sections listed include 2x0.75 mm², 2x1.00 mm², 2x1.50 mm², 3x0.75 mm², 3x1.5 mm² and 5x0.75 mm².

Among the highlighted references are the Neutral jute fabric cable RN06 in round 2x0.75 mm and 3x0.75 mm, the Glossy Carbon Black textile cable RM04 in the same sections, and the Natural Jute Cable TN06 in braided 2x0.75 mm and 3x0.75 mm. At the time of writing this profile, the store listed these from £2.80, £2.80 and £3.33 respectively.

Bulbs, fittings and assembly parts

The bulb section spans dimmable LED bulbs, porcelain bulbs, tubular LED bulbs, decorated bulbs, Ghost bulbs, Plumen bulbs and 5V bulbs, with fittings in E27, E14, GU10 and S14d and a choice between warm white and natural white light temperature. The components area gathers lamp holders, ceiling roses, lampshades, plugs and sockets, switches and dimmers, spotlights, wiring, DIY lamp kits and accessories such as cable clamps, wall fixings, extensions, connectors and terminals, track adaptors, power strips, flexible extensions, lamp bases, wooden lamp holders and metal ceiling roses.

Solutions for specific installation problems

Beyond individual parts, the site groups products into practical solutions: moving a light point, creating an external wall system, lighting damp spaces, lighting outdoor spaces and lighting a child's bedroom. A configurator is also offered for building combinations, and the catalogue states that hundreds of combinations of styles, colours and shapes are available.

Collections in focus

• Spostaluce: presented as a collection for relocating a light point.
• Cabless: a named lamp collection within the indoor range.
• Creative Tubes: a collection linked to the solutions section.
• Porcelain: appears both as an indoor collection and among the bulb types.
• Modulair and Lumet: outdoor collections.
