Barlow Blinds

Made-to-measure window coverings

Barlow Blinds supplies and installs bespoke blinds and shutters around Leicester and Leicestershire. The company offers a process from home or site visit through measurement, product choice and fitting. It says many of its blinds are made in its Leicester factory. A made-to-measure solution can be useful for unusual windows or a room with specific needs, but the final design should be checked for light control, privacy, cleaning and safe operation before manufacture.

Blinds for different rooms

Its blind range includes roller, Roman, vertical, wooden Venetian, aluminium Venetian, day-and-night, Perfect Fit and conservatory styles. The website also discusses honeycomb blinds for energy saving and motorised options. A bedroom may benefit from blackout material, while an office may need glare control without eliminating daylight. For a kitchen or bathroom, moisture resistance can matter more than a decorative fabric. Ask which materials suit the room and how the blind will be operated and cleaned.

Shutters and commercial work

Barlow Blinds provides shutters for ordinary, bay and patio-door windows and says it can bring a mobile shutter display to a home visit. It also serves schools, offices, clinics and other workplaces. Commercial installations may have requirements for frequent use, cleaning, access or child safety. Shutters and blinds differ in the space needed around the opening, so measurement should account for handles, recess depth and furniture. A quotation should set out materials, control options, fitting and any warranty.

Booking a visit

The company lists 7 Brighton Road, Leicester LE5 0HD, a showroom contact number of 0116 276 9771 and weekday office hours in its practical information. Home visits and site visits can be booked through the website. The business describes a long local history and offers a knowledge centre, product information and case studies. Before accepting the quote, confirm the precise fabric or finish, lead time, installation date and what happens if an adjustment is needed after fitting. Its social channels show examples of completed work.
