The firm presents itself as a local law firm covering matters that arise at different stages of life, from house moves and family matters to inheritance planning and dispute resolution. It also states that it has modernised its services with digital processes, including a 'contactless' legal service offering.

Property and conveyancing work

Residential property is one of the firm's main areas. The conveyancing and moving house service covers buying and selling a property, including the selling process, re-mortgaging and equity release, co-ownership and joint ownership, transfer of equity, non-contentious property advice, lease disputes and Help to Buy ISAs. A separate new build conveyancing team handles purchases of new build homes, completion on notice, Help to Buy equity loans, part exchange and Help to Buy ISAs.

Property sales, purchases and remortgaging are also offered under the firm's fixed-fee 'Moving Essentials' package, which the firm presents as simply priced for clarity.

Family law and private client services

The family law team covers divorce, including the divorce process, grounds for divorce and the choice between divorcing with or without a solicitor, as well as separation agreements and the separation of unmarried couples. Children issues are handled with reference to the Children and Families Act 2014 and parental alienation, alongside financial settlements negotiated out of court, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, same-sex families and civil partnership dissolution. The team also deals with international cases, including expat, overseas and international divorce, domestic violence, and honour-based violence and forced marriage.

Wills and probate work includes writing a will, inheritance tax planning, charitable gifts, probate and administration (with fixed-fee full administration and a breakdown of potential additional costs), a family bereavement service, intestacy, contested wills, trusts and probate, powers of attorney, and deputyship and Court of Protection matters. Disputes, employment and business crime defence

Dispute resolution covers contract disputes, consumer disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, contested wills, trusts and probate, construction and building disputes, and financial disputes involving gifts or loans. A separate property disputes team handles residential property disputes and residential lease disputes.

On the employment side, the firm advises on employment contracts and settlement agreements. For business clients it also runs a business crime defence practice covering fraud, bribery and corruption, corporate manslaughter and health and safety investigations, food safety and food hygiene prosecutions, trading standards investigations, counterfeit goods, false accounting, tax evasion and HMRC or VAT investigations, money laundering and proceeds of crime, and General Medical Council investigations.
