Coastal Drains Ltd: drainage and emergency callouts from Lancing

Coastal Drains Ltd is a family-owned drainage company formed in April 2006 and based at Lancing Business Park. From that base it serves customers across Sussex and the South Coast of England, combining emergency callout work with planned repairs, surveys and tanker services. The company describes itself as privately owned and reports steady year-on-year growth since its founding.

Its stated operating model rests on 24-hour callouts, same-day service and what it presents as a lowest price guarantee and no callout charge. The firm also states that it handles insurance work, including claims covered by accidental damage policies, acting on the customer's behalf.

Emergency drainage response

A large part of the offer is built around urgent problems. The company lists emergency sewer services, emergency drain services and emergency drain unblocking, alongside specific callouts for blocked sinks, blocked showers and baths, and water leaks. Toilet unblocking and gully cleaning complete the range of immediate clearance work.

Clearance, repair and pipe rehabilitation

Beyond emergency work, Coastal Drains carries out drain clearance, rodding and jetting. Its repair side covers drain repairs and drain lining, plus replacement of pitch fibre pipes and asbestos pipes. For water supply issues it offers water mains repairs and water main replacement, and it also provides moling to lay pipes with what it describes as minimal time and disruption.

Surveys, mapping and tanker work

The company uses CCTV drain surveys to locate problems, including in confined conditions, and provides drain mapping and drain tracing. It markets a home buyers' drain survey aimed at property transactions. Tanker services include cesspit services, cesspit emptying, septic tank services, septic tank pumping and installation of sewage treatment plants.

Gutter and window cleaning

An additional line of work covers exterior maintenance: high reach gutter cleaning using a pole vacuum system, gutter cleaning and repair, house and roof gutter cleaning, and high reach pure water window cleaning.

Coverage across Sussex

The company states that it covers most of the southeast coast and other towns within Sussex. The locations named are Arundel, Battle, Bexhill-on-Sea, Bognor Regis, Brighton & Hove, Burgess Hill, Chichester, Crawley, Crowborough, East Grinstead, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Hastings, Haywards Heath, Heathfield, Horsham, Lancing, Lewes, Littlehampton, Midhurst, Newhaven, Peacehaven, Petworth, Rye, Seaford, Selsey, Shoreham-by-Sea, Southwick, Uckfield and Worthing.

Reputation as presented by the company

Coastal Drains refers to more than 700 reviews and to over 300 five-star reviews, and displays an overall rating of 9.88 attributed to Checkatrade, where it says its reviews can be consulted. The site reproduces individual customer comments, including one from a care home praising the conduct and tidiness of an engineer named Paul, and another commending punctuality and a tidy driveway. The company presents itself as the number one drain repair service for the southeast of England and cites over 20 years of experience.
