J&B Roofing Specialists

Roofing contractor serving Hull and the East Riding

J&B Roofing Specialists is a local roofing business based in Kingston upon Hull that presents itself as covering all aspects of roofing for homeowners in the city and the surrounding areas. The company states more than 30 years of experience in the trade and describes its offer as a service tailored to each client's requirements, with advice on the most suitable roofing solution, a free quote and the work carried out by its own team.

Its stated coverage area is Kingston upon Hull, Beverley and the wider East Riding of Yorkshire. The business presents itself as a dedicated local team that arrives ready to work and treats each property as if it were its own.

Reroofing, flat roofs and GRP fibreglass

The core of the offer is reroofing and new roofs, a speciality the company links to its three decades of experience and which it says it delivers at affordable rates for properties across Hull. Alongside this it works on flat roofs, both repair and installation, using what it describes as high-quality materials and equipment.

For low-pitched or flat surfaces such as garages, extensions and outbuildings, the company installs GRP fibreglass roofing. It explains that this system uses fibreglass matting reinforced with plastic to create a strong, seamless roof that is versatile, weather-resistant and durable.

Repairs, felt systems and roofline work

• Roof repairs: diagnosis of the problem and repair work across Beverley and the wider East Riding, aimed at preventing further damage to the property.
• Felt roofing: bitumen felt, torch-on felt and single-ply felt installations, presented as durable, insulated and offering good waterproofing at an affordable price.
• Fascias and soffits: fascia, soffit and roofline services intended to protect the exterior of the home and give it a cleaner appearance.

The company also mentions sealing and weatherproofing roofs ahead of winter among the jobs described by its clients.

Emergency storm damage, 24 hours a day

Emergency response is a distinct part of the service: J&B Roofing Specialists states that it is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergency roofing repairs and storm damage in Hull and the surrounding areas, and that it responds quickly to protect homes from further damage. This round-the-clock availability applies to emergencies and quotes, separately from the ordinary working schedule.

How the company describes its working method

The process is set out in four stages: first contact by phone or message to describe the job; then expert advice and a no-obligation quote; then the work itself, carried out efficiently and with the home treated as the team's own; and finally a finish completed to what the company calls the highest standard. It also highlights communication during the project, the use of modern materials and techniques, transparent pricing and minimal disruption, and offers personalised solutions adjusted to the client's budget.

Client feedback and reputation

The website reproduces a set of client comments covering new flat roofs with a GRP finish, storm leak repairs, complete reroofs, replacement of wooden fascias and soffits with uPVC, chimney leak diagnosis, felt roof replacement on a garage, retiling, weatherproofing and honest advice on what needed repairing. The company also displays the claim of a five-star local reputation. These are testimonials and self-descriptions published by the business rather than independently verified assessments.
