Monkey Tree Hosting: hosting, cloud and telecoms from Kettering

Monkey Tree Hosting Ltd is a complete IT and telecoms solutions company that also provides system architecture and consultancy services. Its stated specialisms are hosting services, data security, cloud technology, VoIP, communications and hosted desktop solutions, with the aim of covering online, IT infrastructure and technical needs from a single provider.

The company describes itself as owner-run and managed, supported by a close-knit UK team. It began as a hobby in 2002, became a legal entity in 2012 and states that it has grown considerably since then. It reports owning numerous servers housed in secure ISO27001 data centres and serving clients across multiple continents.

Hosting plans and platform features

The site presents monthly and yearly pricing tiers labelled Standard, Business, Commerce Lite and Commerce Pro, with entry prices starting at £6.50 per month and yearly options carrying discounts on some plans. The published plan features include daily backups, free migrations and staging environments, and the company points to a separate page for full plan details and pricing.

Beyond shared hosting, the service menu covers VPS hosting, dedicated hosting, domain names, email hosting, security and managed Microsoft 365. For website building, the company states that its experts use WordPress with added optimisation to run WooCommerce online stores, that sites comply with best practices and performance monitoring, and that a control panel and API support integration for large sites or agencies managing multiple clients.

Infrastructure, security and cloud

It promotes cloud-based solutions as a way to raise efficiency, security and productivity while reducing IT costs, and describes regular maintenance by qualified engineers together with 24x7x365 monitoring of environmental and infrastructure aspects to prevent problems before they occur.

Internet access through MTH Networks

The company is also an internet service provider in its own right through its sub-brand MTH Networks.
