About CORE Landscape Products

CORE Landscape Products: landscaping systems manufactured in the UK

CORE Landscape Products is a second-generation family business whose heritage dates to 1980, giving it more than four decades of experience in the landscaping sector. The company designs, manufactures and supplies products intended as long-term, low-maintenance solutions, and states that its output is produced in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards, applied from raw material acquisition through to delivery of the finished article. Where possible it sources recycled materials for its products.

Its catalogue is organised around distinct product families, each aimed at a specific surface or construction problem, from loose gravel that shifts underfoot to tree roots that must be protected from traffic loads.

Gravel stabilisation for drives and paths

The company's stabilising cellular grids are designed to hold gravel in place on a naturally porous base, addressing the tendency of loose gravel to migrate and form ridges. Two variants cover different uses:

  • CORE DRIVE: a gravel driveway stabiliser for vehicle surfaces.
  • CORE PATH: a gravel pathway grid suited to patios and garden paths, described as able to support wheelie bins, wheelbarrows, pedestrians, bicycles and high heels.
  • CORE COMMERCIAL: a heavy-duty gravel stabiliser for larger or more demanding surfaces.

Edging systems in steel and aluminium

Edging is a central part of the range. CORE EDGE is a flexible steel garden edging system for lawns, borders, patios, pathways and driveways, manufactured in the UK from 1.6 mm mild steel and offered in three face heights and five finishes; each pack contains five 1,075 mm strips that join to give five metres of installed edging. CORE PRO EDGE uses a 6063 tempered aluminium alloy with a fully anodised finish, which the company presents as harder wearing and more scratch resistant than the finish of competitor Kinley. CORE DATUM EDGE is a heavy-duty option designed specifically for commercial landscaping projects and aimed at contractors.

Tree root protection and grass reinforcement

The CORE Tree Root Protection (TRP) System is a CE-certified cellular confinement system that distributes traffic weight to prevent subsoil compaction around the roots of mature trees, protecting them from pedestrian and vehicle loads. CORE GRASS covers grass reinforcement and protection, intended to stop paths and driveways deteriorating into mud while improving drainage and grip for pedestrians and vehicles.

Drainage, planters and specialist surfaces

The wider catalogue extends beyond the core surfacing lines. CORE DRAINAGE comprises drainage cells and board, while CORE WATER CRATE covers soakaway and attenuation crates. CORE PLANTERS addresses commercial planting, CORE EQUESTRIAN offers specialist equine surfacing, and CORE GLOW supplies glow-in-the-dark aggregates. CORE VUBA operates as a resin distribution centre, and CORE GEOSYNTHETICS covers geogrids and geosynthetics.
