Boilers N Bits

Boilers N Bits, a heating and boiler supplies merchant in Ilford

Boilers N Bits sells boilers, hot water cylinders, heating controls, radiators, pumps and pipework components, both through its website and from a trade counter. The company describes itself as having operated for around 45 years in central heating, a figure it repeats in its own promotional banners. Its stated model combines competitive pricing, next-day delivery on most stocked items and the option to collect from the store.

The catalogue is organised by brand and by product type, so a buyer can search either for a specific manufacturer's range or for a category such as combi boilers or unvented cylinders. The site states that orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland UK and that checkout is secured.

Boilers by brand and by type

The boiler section is split two ways. Under brands, the range covers Glow-Worm, Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Baxi, Main, Ideal Heating, Viessmann, Vokera, E.C.A and Potterton. Under types, the categories are combi, heat only, system, LPG and electric boilers.

Individual listings shown on the site include several Glow-Worm Energy7 models: the 12R, 15R, 18R and 25R regular boilers, the 12S, 15S and 18S system boilers and the 25C combi. Prices are displayed with a separate VAT figure, for example £1,165.20 plus £194.20 VAT for the Energy7 12R.

Cylinders, heating controls and heat pumps

The cylinder range is grouped by brand (Telford, Vaillant, Ideal Heating and Main Heating) and by configuration: unvented, direct, indirect, heat pump and system-fit cylinders. The site notes that trade pricing on cylinders is available to the general public as well as to the trade.

Heating controls include smart home thermostats, programmers and timers, and motorised valves. Heat pumps are listed by manufacturer, with Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Ideal Heating and Samsung represented.

Radiators, pipework and pumps

Radiators are classified by panel type: single convector Type 11 (K1), double panel with single convector Type 21 (P+), and double convector Type 22 (K2). Underfloor heating also appears in the heating section.

The pipe and fittings category covers pipe and tube, gas pipe, underfloor heating pipe, gas fittings and push-fit plastic fittings. The pumps section lists circulating pumps, home booster pumps, macerators and shower pumps. A separate accessories area groups flues, other accessories and low loss headers, with brand-specific accessory pages for Baxi & Main, Glow-Worm, Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Ideal Heating, Viessmann and Vokera.

Ordering, delivery and collection

According to the site, most stocked items are available for next-day delivery, and customers can alternatively pick up from the store. The company presents its long trading history as the basis for product advice, and invites enquiries through a contact form, telephone or email. A comparison tool on the website allows several products to be selected and compared side by side.

The site also advertises a reward of up to £800 for installing and registering a qualifying Worcester boiler, a promotional offer tied to that manufacturer rather than to the merchant's own terms.
