Prologue Performance Cycling

Prologue Performance Cycling: a Harrogate bike shop with café and workshop

Prologue Performance Cycling operates from Units 3 & 4 Wellington House on Cold Bath Road in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The business combines a retail bicycle shop with an in-store café and a workshop, and also runs a racing team. Its online store mirrors the physical shop's range, with dedicated sections for bikes, clothing, footwear and helmets, parts and accessories, and lifestyle products.

Bike brands and categories

The shop's bike range is organised into road, gravel, electric and mountain bikes, and it also lists individual bike frames. Road and gravel frames are offered alongside complete bicycles. The brands named for bikes and frames include BMC, Cannondale, Cervelo, Colnago, Enigma, ENVE, Factor and Pinarello. The site also highlights a Pinarello gravel range and states that the full Factor Bikes range is in stock, while the 2027 bikes from Cervelo are described as now in stock.

Clothing, footwear and helmets

Clothing is divided into men's and women's lines, covering jerseys, shorts and tights, jackets and gilets, and base layers. Accessories include gloves and mitts, hats, caps and buffs, sunglasses and warmers. Clothing brands listed include Castelli, Pedal Mafia, Rapha, Prologue and Spatz. Footwear and helmets are grouped separately, with road shoes, gravel shoes, socks, overshoes and footbeds, and helmets. Nimbl shoes are highlighted as a new brand, and the site notes that autumn-winter 26 Castelli clothing is in stock.

Parts, tools and maintenance

The parts and accessories section covers bike protection, including Gtechniq ceramic coating, and performance parts from brands such as Ceramicspeed, Cybrei, Enve, EXS Cycling, Lightweight, Overfast, Reserve and Zipp. Accessories extend to bottles and cages, creams and gels, electronics, lights, nutrition, packs and luggage, pumps and turbo trainers. Maintenance-related categories include brakes, finishing kit, gears and drivetrain, pedals and cleats, saddles and seatposts, tyres and tubes, wheels and mudguards, plus tools and maintenance products for chain waxing, cleaning, lubrication and puncture repair.

Workshop and other services

The business lists a workshop among its services and provides a 'Book My Bike In' facility for workshop appointments. Other service pages cover delivery, returns, click & collect, finance information, Cyclescheme and the racing team. Click & collect is described as free. The site states that Prologue Performance Cycling is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker, not a lender, with credit provided by Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC under FRN 652886.

Café and lifestyle range

The Prologue Café operates within the shop, with its own menu page. The lifestyle section includes artwork, coffee and gift vouchers. The site also promotes a sale with bikes discounted by up to 35% and savings of up to £3,000 on a dream bike, alongside separate sale departments for bikes, clothing, helmets and shoes.
