Fluetech Ltd

Fluetech Ltd: chimney, flue and stove work from Halifax since 1987

Fluetech Ltd is a Halifax-based company working across all aspects of gas and solid-fuel fires, chimneys, flues and related products. Established in 1987, the firm states it has more than 35 years of experience and describes its activity as an in-house, end-to-end service covering both domestic and commercial customers. Its engineers are trained and accredited under Gas Safe or HETAS, and the company is CHAS accredited.

The company presents itself as a specialist able to address complex chimney and flue problems, from domestic pre-cast flue systems to large-scale masonry commercial chimneys. It also supplies flue and chimney equipment nationally through online sales, alongside its installation and maintenance work in the region.

Installations, sweeping and repairs

The service range is organised around the full lifecycle of a fire and its flue. Fluetech carries out complete fire and flue installations for gas and solid-fuel appliances, and also handles chimney sweeping and appliance maintenance, gas fire servicing, and chimney and flue repairs. The repair work it lists includes reflaunching, chimney pots, cowls and repointing, as well as refurbishing stoves.

Alongside the physical work, the company provides safety certifications and inspections, helping to certify installations and carry out compliance checks against health and safety standards. It frames this part of its work around keeping customers within current legislation while optimising energy use.

Fabrication and trade supply

Fluetech fabricates flue products in both standard and made-to-measure formats, including register plates, flue boxes and gathers. It also operates a supply-only and trade sales line for stoves, flue liners and flue products, which supports the nationwide equipment supply side of the business.

Appliances and fireplaces covered

The company lists the types of stove, flue and chimney it services:

• Woodburning stoves
• Multi-fuel stoves
• Inset stoves
• Tall stoves
• Gas fires
• Electric fires
• Custom fireplaces

Coverage across the north of England

Domestic and commercial work is centred on Halifax and West Yorkshire. The company also states it serves North Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. Product supply, by contrast, is described as national through online sales of flue and chimney equipment.

Accreditations and stated approach

Fluetech highlights three credentials: Gas Safe registration, HETAS registration and CHAS accreditation. It states that all work is guaranteed by the company and by manufacturers according to their terms and conditions, and that its engineers are trained in accordance with Gas Safe and/or HETAS standards. In its own presentation, the firm describes itself as customer-focused, professional, clean, punctual and transparent, and refers to competitive rates; the site also indicated a full stove service starting from £25 at the time of writing this profile.

Customer comments reproduced on the site refer to tidy installation work, prompt arrival of the sweeper and a made-to-measure register plate that fitted correctly. These are individual accounts rather than a general assessment of the company.
