Optics Warehouse

Optics Warehouse: airguns, optics and shooting accessories for the UK market

Optics Warehouse operates an online shop aimed at UK airgunners, presenting itself as "the home of UK airgunners". The catalogue is organised around four main blocks —airguns, optics, mounts and accessories— and is complemented by sections for deals, ex-demo and preowned equipment. The product range covers both new and second-hand items, including collector air guns and ex-display units.

Air rifles and air pistols by brand, mechanism and discipline

The airgun section is structured so that shoppers can filter by brand, firing mechanism and shooting discipline. Among the rifle brands listed are AirMaks Arms, Brocock, BSA Guns, Daystate, FX Airguns, Sig Sauer, Umarex and Weihrauch; air pistols are grouped under Sig Sauer and Umarex. By mechanism, the shop distinguishes pre-charged pneumatic (PCP), recoiling break barrel, bolt action and tactical models. For pistols it separates CO2 pellet/BB, recoiling and budget categories, and by use it lists target, 10 metre, pure target and plinking.

Disciplines used to classify rifles include general use, benchrest, hunting, field target and hunter field target. The store also offers package deals assembled around these uses: budget rifles, all-round bundles, benchrest bundles, hunting bundles, field target bundles, hunter field target bundles and plinking bundles. A bundle builder tool is advertised with a 10% saving when building a bundle.

Optics: scopes by brand and by use

The optics catalogue is divided into scopes by brand and scopes by use. Brands named on the site include WULF, HIKMICRO, Vector Optics, Hawke, Sightron, Falcon Optics, Element Optics, Delta, Vortex, Optisan Optics, Holosun, Arken Optics, DNT Optics and Nocpix. By use, scopes are grouped into general use, benchrest, hunting, field target, hunter field target, pistol scopes and red dot sights. There is also a nightvision and thermal section, plus observation accessories mounted on weapons or scopes.

An example from the catalogue is the Falcon Optics T50i+ 5-50x60 SFP IR E-CDi 1/8MOA 34mm rifle scope, described with HOYA Japanese ED glass, a 5-50x zoom range, 1/8 MOA adjustments, an oversized zero-stop turret, an illuminated E-CDi reticle, side parallax focus from 10 metres, a 34mm nitrogen-purged tube and accessories including magnetic flip covers, a sunshade and a throw lever. At the time of writing the profile, the site listed it at £449.99, reduced from £499.00.

Mounts and accessories

Mounts are sorted by rail type: 9-11mm dovetail, 13mm BSA dovetail and Picatinny/Weaver, with tube sizes of 1 inch, 30mm and 34mm. One example is the WULF by Sportsmatch height-adjustable 9-11mm dovetail rings for 30mm main tubes, priced at £72.99 and presented as a way to fine-tune eye relief and cheek weld.

The accessories section covers bags, cases and slings; CO2 capsules; bipods, tripods, shooting rests and bags; charging equipment (compressors, bottles, pumps, cartridges and related accessories); pellets in .177 and .22; paper, metal and sticker targets; moderators/silencers; chronographs; magazines; cleaning and tools; bubble levels; and rifle stocks and stock accessories. An example listed is the ELLTECH ARIDA 52-inch 600D tactical drag bag in tan, sized 135cm x 30cm x 7cm, offered at £69.99 against a previous £89.95.

Buying conditions and support

The site advertises finance availability, a price match, a 60-day guarantee and speedy delivery on products. A support area brings together explanations of the bundle builder and ARW Points, returns, delivery, Buyline financing, privacy and cookies, terms and conditions, and contact information. Customer accounts allow login, order tracking and a favourites function, and products can be compared.

Editorial content and preowned stock

Optics Warehouse publishes blogs and videos described as coming from experts in the field. Alongside new products, the shop maintains sections for ex-display air rifles and air pistols, preowned air rifles and air pistols, and collector air guns, so the catalogue combines current lines with second-hand and display stock.
