Navien UK operates as the UK subsidiary of the KD Navien group, which has been active in domestic and commercial heating since 1978. The company describes itself as a manufacturer of gas boilers for the British market and has been present in the country since 2014, when it entered as Navien Ltd with offices in Chertsey. Its catalogue covers gas boilers, oil boilers, water heaters, heat pumps and smart controls, aimed at both homeowners and professional installers.

The group presents itself as the fourth largest gas boiler manufacturer in the world and states that it has exported HVAC products to more than 30 countries since 1978. It also describes itself as the market leader in boilers and water heaters in South Korea and in condensing tankless gas water heaters in North America.

Gas and oil boilers for the British market

The UK range is organised around several product families. The NCB line of gas condensing boilers was the company's entry point into the British market, and the NCB ON range, available as the NCB700 ON Combi Crossover and NCB500 ON Combi Crossover, is designed to recirculate domestic hot water and reduce water waste, delivering hot water to up to three showers at once without temperature fluctuation. The NCB700 ON incorporates the NaviCirc valve, which the company says shortens the time hot water takes to reach the tap.

On the oil side, the LCB700 condensing boiler was launched in 2019 with an A+ energy efficiency rating, low weight and burner technology aimed at reducing emissions. Navien states that it has become the leading boiler of its type. The company also refers to a Combi Crossover category it established in 2023 as the next generation of boilers.

Heat pumps, water heaters and smart controls

The PEM750 heat pump is presented as the company's low-carbon heating solution for environmentally conscious homeowners, and the site lists a heat pump interest form alongside the boiler catalogue. The portfolio also includes gas water heaters, a Multikit accessory and a family of smart controls: the Smart Plus controller, the ON AI controller and a wiring centre. Manufacturing and quality control

The group's production site in South Korea is described as the largest single-site heating product manufacturing plant in the world, with an output of 2 million units per year. According to the company, every boiler undergoes a two-stage test before leaving the factory: a robotised process performing 55 checks per second, followed by a full working test by an operative that adds a further 250 quality checks.
