Online Garden Supplies: bulk landscaping products for UK gardens

Online Garden Supplies is a UK-based retailer of bulk landscaping materials, operating through its website onlinegardensupplies.co.uk. The company supplies horticultural and decorative products in bulk bags, aimed at gardeners and landscaping projects. Its catalogue covers composts and manures, soils, chippings and bark, decorative stone, and logs and winter fuels, alongside a selection of tools and accessories.

The site presents the business as a supplier of quality bulk landscaping products and highlights that its compost is organic, peat-free, tested to BS3882 standards and PAS100 certified, and produced in the UK. It also states that it has delivered over 100,000 orders.

The compost range includes Multi Purpose Compost in bulk bags, Bedding Compost, Compost Garden Mulch Blend and Horse Manure Bulk Bags. The soils section lists Topsoil Bulk Bag, VegeBlend Topsoil Bulk Bags, Organic Border Blend Topsoil, Composted Mulch and Bark Fines. The company describes its compost as highly nutritious and 100% peat-free, with a pH tested to 7.5.

The tools and accessories section includes a 3-in-1 Garden Leaf Blower Vacuum Mulcher Shredder, a Heavy-Duty 3-in-1 Lawn Scarifier, Aerator & Rake, a Garden Compost Bin, a Heavy Duty Garden Wheelbarrow, a DURABULL 2 Wheel Wheelbarrow with 78-litre capacity and 150kg load, and OGS Protective Gardening Gloves. A Bulk Bag Calculator is available to estimate the number of bags required for a project.

Delivery method and practical conditions

Deliveries are made through a nominated pallet network. Bulk products arrive on a wooden pallet, which the driver lowers using a tail lift and moves with a pump truck to the kerbside. The company specifies that a hard, flat surface such as concrete, tarmac or paving is required for the pump truck, and that grass, gravel, loose stone, steep slopes and uneven ground are unsuitable. Most deliveries use an 18-tonne or 26-tonne rigid lorry, and customers are asked to ensure suitable access and turning space. The company does not offer crane or HIAB unloading, and the pallet is not collected after delivery. Additional charges may apply for failed deliveries due to access restrictions, unsuitable ground, incorrect address details or customer cancellation.

Product standards and sourcing

The site states that the compost is organic and entirely peat-free, tested to BS3882 standards and PAS100 certified, with a pH of 7.5. It also indicates that the products are farm-grown in the UK and produced in the UK. The company presents these points as part of its environmental and ethical responsibilities.
