Richard Jackson Garden

Richard Jackson Garden: online gardening retail with expert advice

Richard Jackson Garden is an online shop specialising in garden products, with a catalogue that covers plants, compost, fertilisers, bird food and pest control. The website combines direct sales with a section of practical content, including monthly gardening jobs, how-to videos and feature articles written by the company's gardening team.

Plants and growing essentials

The plant range is organised into spring-flowering bulbs, perennials, shrubs and climbers, and fruit and vegetables. Perennials are presented as the backbone of a garden, chosen in larger pot sizes to offer stronger plants with bigger root systems. Fruit and vegetables are aimed at simple, rewarding growing in patios, borders and containers, with minimal fuss.

Planting and feeding products include plant food and fertilisers, houseplant care, planting accessories and tools, and compost. The catalogue also lists specific products such as Flower Power plant food, Container Magic, Easy Feed Slow Release Plant Food, Double Action Weedkiller RTU, Moss Remover and Easy Compost.

Bird food and lawn care

The bird food section includes high-energy bird feeds, suet balls, bird feeders and cleaning products, as well as a subscription service for bird food. Lawn care and pest and weed control complete the gardening offer, alongside a gifts section and gift cards.

Advice and video content

The site publishes regular features and how-to videos covering seed sowing, pruning, potting, digging and other gardening tasks. It also offers a monthly jobs guide, with a specific page for October, and articles on topics such as using ferns in the garden, why trees change colour in autumn and keeping garden containers looking good. A section called "Watch Richard's Product Picks" highlights selected products.

Offers and delivery

The website advertises free standard delivery on plant-only orders over £60 and a 10% discount on the first order for new subscribers to its email list. It also mentions a multi-buy offer called Drop & Bloom Mix & Match. The product catalogue shows prices in pounds sterling, with items such as Flower Power plant food priced between £11.99 and £26.99, and Easy Compost at £24.99.

Orders can be placed online or by phone through the order line. The site displays an average customer rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 2,342 verified reviews, and individual products carry their own ratings. Customer help and account management are available through the website.
