The Home and Office Stores: beds and furniture for children, adults and the home office

The Home and Office Stores is a British online furniture retailer that has been trading since 2013. Its catalogue is built around beds and bedroom furniture, with a particularly deep children's bed section, alongside living room, dining room, kitchen, office and garden furniture. The company presents itself as "the children's bed experts" and organises its range by room, by bed type, by size, by material and by brand.

Children's beds at the centre of the range

The children's bed department is the most developed part of the catalogue. It covers bunk beds, triple bunk beds, high sleeper beds, mid sleeper beds, cabin beds, starter short beds, single beds, day beds and metal beds. The store also groups these products by feature, including beds with a desk, beds with a sofa, beds with storage and gaming beds, and by theme. Accessories such as bed frames and children's headboards are sold separately.

Brands listed in this section include Hoppekids, Kids Avenue, Thuka, Trasman Kids, Parisot, Flintshire Furniture, Flair Furnishings and Sweet Dreams. The range structure also names specific collections, among them Barca, Billie, Eco Comfort, Eli, Estella, Girona, Heritage, Hit, Noah, Nordic, Ordi, Podbed, Urban, Tam Tam, Tarragona and Wizard.

Adult beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture

For adults, the store sells single, small double, double, king size and super king beds, organised by type into ottoman beds, storage beds, day beds and guest beds, and by material into wooden, metal and upholstered beds. Mattresses follow the same size logic and are divided into coil sprung, pocket sprung, sprung and memory foam, memory foam and orthopaedic models.

The bedroom furniture selection includes wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables, dressing tables, dressing table stools and bedroom cupboards, grouped into ranges such as 4 You, Angel, Barcelona, Chelsea, Heritage, Madrid, May, Naia, Oslo, Paris, Pepe, Ry, Space, Swing and Verona.

Living room, dining, kitchen and office furniture

Beyond the bedroom, the catalogue covers living room furniture such as coffee tables, console and hallway tables, display cabinets, media storage, mirrors, nest of tables, plant stands and lamp tables, shelving, side tables, sideboards and TV units, with ranges including Brolo, Chelsea, Cortina, Fribo Oak, Fribo White, Imperial, Lyon, Novi, Rapallo, Roomers, Shetland, Toronto and Zingaro.

For the kitchen and dining room the store lists kitchen islands, bar stools and wine racks, together with dining tables, benches and chairs, under ranges such as Mobel Oak, Signature Blue, Urban Chic and Urban Elegance. The office section comprises filing cabinets, gaming desks, office cupboards, workstations and desks, and pedestals. Garden furniture is divided into corner furniture, dining sets, sofa sets, metal garden furniture and rattan garden furniture, and there is a separate category for shoe cabinets.
