Atkinsons Fencing: garden and home products from four Yorkshire showrooms

Atkinsons Fencing presents itself as a family-owned business offering a wide range of garden and home products intended to cover complete garden projects from a single source. The company operates four showrooms in Yorkshire and describes many of its items as available from stock. Its catalogue spans fencing, decking, timber, garden buildings and outdoor living, and it also offers residential and commercial fitting services.

Fencing systems and components

The fencing range is organised by panel size and type. Panels are listed in heights from 2ft to 6ft, and the types include wood, composite, rough sawn, decorative, contemporary, deluxe, closeboard, picket, lattice, slatted, pressure treated, hit & miss, lap, tongue & groove, vertical and horizontal panels, as well as KDM Euro and DuraPost panels. The composite fencing line is presented as a low-maintenance option.

Fence posts are sold in sizes from 5ft (1.5m) to 12ft (3.6m) and in wooden, rough sawn, planed deluxe, composite (Eco Oak), concrete and DuraPost steel versions. Accessories include post caps and finials, post spikes, fixings, drivers and holders. Gravel boards are available in concrete, PVC and timber, and the fencing accessories section covers rails, boards and treatments.

Trellis, gates and decking

Trellis panels are offered in heights from 1ft (0.3m) to 6ft (1.83m) and in a variety of styles, including arched, fence top, planter, diamond, decorative, wall, contemporary, rose, fan shaped, square, ivy and lattice. The gates range comprises wooden garden gates, side gates, driveway gates and estate gates, plus composite garden gates, gate fixings and timber gate posts.

Decking options include wooden, composite and plastic (PVC) decking, along with joists, kits, accessories, handrails and spindles. The site highlights eco composite decking as an increasingly popular alternative to traditional timber decking, presented with a range of benefits for outdoor spaces.

Outdoor living, sheds and timber garden buildings

Under outdoor living, the catalogue lists garden bars, pergolas, arbours, garden arches, bench arbours, wooden greenhouses, timber planters, raised beds, slidehouses, swings and slides, pavilions, Ecoscape outdoor kitchens and garden furniture such as tables, chairs and benches.

The shed range is organised by footprint, from 5 x 3 up to 24 x 12, and by type: apex, pent, wooden, garden workshops, pressure treated and potting sheds. Shed accessories include bases and timber treatments. Timber garden buildings cover summer houses, corner summerhouses, garden studios, garden offices, garden gyms, garden workshops, garden storage, bike sheds, playhouses, log stores and wheelie bin stores. Log cabins are offered under the Bertsch, Lugarde and WoodPro names, alongside kids cabins and garden building accessories. Insulated garden office buildings are presented as a way to create a workspace in the garden.

Timber, composite products and cladding

The timber section is organised by dimensions, from 1 x 0.5 up to 8 x 2, and includes treated timber, sawn treated timber, deluxe premium smooth planed timber, fencing boards, fencing rails, C24 graded joists and timber boarding. Other timber products include oak beams, timber framework, garden sleepers, timber gravel boards, and log rolls and poles. Exterior timber cladding is available as EcoScape cladding and Forma Panel cladding.

Composite products extend beyond fencing to include composite cladding and accessories, composite decking, composite fence posts, composite garden gates and composite bin stores.
