The Groovy Food Company

The Groovy Food Company: natural cupboard staples from Exton, Exeter

The Groovy Food Company is a British food brand that sells a range of everyday sweeteners, oils and baking products. Its catalogue is organised into five families: organic oils, sugar and home baking, agave nectar, honey and syrups. The company states that its products are available in supermarkets and health food stores across the country, and that they can also be ordered directly from its own website.

How the brand started

According to the company's own account, the business began with its founder, Rosie, who wanted simple, good food that could nourish both body and taste buds. Frustrated at having to search supermarkets for natural alternatives to refined and processed cupboard staples, she decided to source and create those products herself. The company says its range now appeals to health-conscious eaters, people interested in wellbeing and fitness, home bakers and keen cooks.

The product range

• Organic oils: described as naturally sourced and intended for drizzling, dolloping and everyday cooking.
• Sugar and home baking: positioned for birthday bakes, pancakes and family recipes.
• Agave nectar: presented as a mellow sweetener for porridge, pancakes and other dishes.
• Honey: suggested for toast, tea and breakfast.
• Syrups: pitched for pancakes, waffles, marinades and midweek cooking.

One item highlighted as a bestseller on the site at the time of writing is Organic Virgin Coconut Oil in a 283ml format, listed at £3.99.

Where to buy

The company distributes through supermarkets and health food stores nationwide and also runs its own online shop, which the site presents as a simpler alternative to shopping in store. The website includes a recipes section alongside the product catalogue.
