Home Rewires LTD: House Rewiring Specialists in West Yorkshire

Home Rewires LTD is an electrical contractor focused on domestic rewiring, operating from West Yorkshire and covering surrounding areas. The company states that it has been rewiring homes since 2007 and that its team brings 40 years of combined experience to each project. Its core service is the complete replacement of old electrical wiring, alongside kitchen rewiring, electrical testing, ventilation and home integration work.

The firm presents itself as a specialist in complete home rewiring throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire, with a quick turnaround that it describes as averaging 48 hours. It also offers dedicated kitchen rewiring and electrical testing for commercial properties and new builds.

Rewiring Process and Project Stages

Home Rewires LTD outlines a five-stage process for a rewiring project:

• Consultation and quotation: an electrician assesses the property, identifies the scope of the rewiring work and provides a detailed quotation.
• Date and schedule: once the quote is accepted, the company develops a project plan and agrees a timescale and start date.
• Home preparation: the homeowner removes or relocates large furniture to clear access to walls. The company strongly recommends vacating the property during the work because of dust. Standard homes typically take around two to three days.
• Installation: old wiring is removed and new wiring installed, with the consumer unit and accessories upgraded. Plaster patching of affected walls is carried out by Home Rewires LTD and included in the quoted price.
• Documentation and follow-up: after testing, an electrician walks the client through the completed work, provides documentation certifying completion, and may schedule a follow-up visit to address any post-rewiring issues.

Services Beyond Rewiring

Alongside home rewiring, the company lists kitchen rewiring and electrical testing for commercial properties and new builds. It also offers home ventilation and home integration services. The ventilation range includes MVHR systems, PIV fans and humidistat controls. Under home integration, Home Rewires LTD designs and installs home entertainment and automation systems across the UK, including home cinemas with surround sound, optimised lighting, luxurious seating and UHD visuals, as well as golf simulators.

Pricing and Regulatory Compliance

In its FAQ, it notes that a standard three-bedroom house rewiring project typically costs between £2,500 and £5,000, depending on property size, age and complexity. It also states that electrical work in the UK must comply with British Standard BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and presents itself as familiar with these requirements.
