Mats4U: matting for industry, business and home

Mats4U is a UK-based matting supplier that presents itself as a floor mat specialist. According to its own description, the company has more than 30 years' experience in the matting industry and supplies matting solutions to industry, businesses and homes across the UK and Europe. Its catalogue is organised both by product family and by the sector or space where the matting is used.

Personalised and logo matting

One of the central lines is personalised matting, aimed at businesses that want their logo or an image reproduced on an entrance or promotional mat. The range includes heavy-duty logo mats, outdoor heavy-duty logo mats, Berber logo mats, rubber logo mats, coir logo mats, a colour brush logo mat and the TitanEntry logo mat. The company also lists bar and promotional mats and counter impressions. For this line it advertises a free quote and design service.

Entrance, rubber and specialist mats

The entrance category is divided into indoor entrance mats, outdoor mats, Waterhog mats, made-to-measure well and recess mats, washable mats and image mats. Rubber matting is offered as standard-size mats, rolls and tiles, alongside a grass rubber mat. A specialist section covers office chair mats, standing desk mats, study and office mats, anti-microbial mats, anti-static and ESD mats, dust control mats, floor protector mats, tacky mats, non-slip mats, restroom mats, wet-area matting and changing-room mats. Anti-fatigue matting includes kitchen mats and standing desk mats.

Matting by industry and workspace

Mats4U groups part of its catalogue by the environment where the matting is installed. The school range covers entrance, classroom and school mats; the hospital and medical range includes lab mats and surgical mats. For retail there are warehouse mats and shop entrance mats, while hospitality is served with restaurant mats, bar floor mats and kitchen mats. Commercial and industrial applications include workstation mats and assembly line mats, and the hotel and leisure range covers locker room mats and swimming pool matting. Construction accessories such as GRP, supports and fixings are also listed, as are sports surfaces including golf mats, artificial grass and forklift mats.

Home matting and natural coir

For domestic use the shop lists doormats, pet mats, artificial grass and non-slip mats. Coir receives particular attention: the company describes its coir mats as made from coconut fibres, biodegradable and durable, with a coarse texture that traps dirt. Coir matting is sold cut to size, including a 17mm heavy-duty version and a 23mm Supercoir coconut roll, and is available in several colours.

Wet-area and non-slip solutions

The non-slip matting line is presented as a lightweight, economical option for wet areas. The company states that it is non-porous, resistant to oil and chemicals, with an etched surface for traction, and that it has anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. It is described as UV resistant for indoor and outdoor use and is supplied in rolls or tiles. The Heronrib wet-area non-slip mat is one of the products highlighted in this category.
