AWM Windows and Doors

AWM Windows and Doors: made-to-measure glazing supplied from Doncaster

AWM Windows and Doors is a Doncaster-based supplier of made-to-measure uPVC and aluminium windows and doors, operating from premises at Station Yard on Station Road in Bawtry. The company presents its range at trade prices and offers nationwide delivery on the products it sells. Its catalogue is organised so that each item can be customised to individual requirements and applications.

The business trades as AWM Windows and Doors, with AWM Building Maintenance Limited named as the legal entity behind the brand. It also states that it is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Pay4Later Limited, trading as Deko, a credit broker authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 728646); through that arrangement it introduces customers to Duologi finance products provided by Specialist Lending Ltd.

Doors: French, patio, bifold and single options

French doors form one of the central lines, offered in a range of configurations: offset French doors, doors with side panels, with an opening panel, with a top panel, with full panels, with a midrail and with a half panel. Sliding patio doors are available in uPVC with two, three or four panes, and in aluminium with two, three or four panes, plus an aluminium triple track sliding door.

Bifolding doors are supplied in both aluminium and uPVC. The single-door range covers uPVC single doors, uPVC doors with a top light, uPVC doors with a side panel, aluminium single doors and stable doors. Composite doors complete the door offering, and the company also provides a composite door designer tool. In its own presentation, the firm argues that composite doors should use high-grade components such as hardware, locks and gaskets to operate correctly over the years.

Windows and roof lanterns

The window catalogue includes uPVC casement windows, aluminium windows, French windows, sliding sash windows, sliding uPVC windows and tilt and turn windows. Roof lanterns are listed in flat roof, uPVC and Stratus aluminium versions. Composite decking also appears among the product categories.

Buying process, measurement and technical support

Because products are made to measure, the site sets out a detailed measuring method for customers: work in millimetres rather than inches, measure the brickwork opening from outside, take at least three height and width readings and use the smallest, deduct 10mm as a fitting allowance, and never measure the old frame. The stated policy is that the company does not accept responsibility for incorrect measurements, and the customer remains liable for a window that does not fit. Cills are included automatically in the measurements supplied, provided one is required.

Supporting material covers delivery information, lead times, colour guides, cill information, energy ratings and U-values, glass frosting styles, installation guides, technical information and warranty terms. A fixing kit is also described, containing frame fixing screws with a TORX bit, cill screws, and 2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm packers; the company notes that installation foam and sealant are not included and that the item is sent by tracked courier.

Stock, pricing and purchasing

The catalogue shows a clearance stock section alongside the main range, and individual products carry listed prices — for example, a uPVC Irish Oak sliding sash window offered as a build-your-own item, a 40mm frame extender, a French door set with opening side windows, and a 14ft Chartwell Green sliding patio door. PayPal Credit is listed among the payment options, and customers can request a quote described as free and without obligation.

Policies and company information

The site publishes a refund and returns policy, terms and conditions, a vulnerable customer policy and a complaints procedure, together with a careers section. It also states that calls may be recorded for training purposes.
