My Skirting Boards

My Skirting Boards: MDF, oak and pine mouldings from the West Midlands

My Skirting Boards is a UK manufacturer of skirting boards, architrave and other interior mouldings, operating from Unit 20, Charlton Drive in Cradley Heath, West Midlands. The company presents itself as the UK's leading manufacturer of quality MDF skirting boards and related profiles, a claim it supports with more than 15 years of experience in the sector. It began as a small joinery business supplying skirting boards and other MDF products to the building industry and has since moved to larger premises to expand its range and keep pace with a growing trade customer base.

Product ranges and materials

The catalogue is organised around skirting boards, architrave and other mouldings. Skirting boards are grouped into modern, traditional and standard ranges, alongside a dedicated oak range. Architrave follows the same modern, traditional and standard structure. The wider mouldings offer includes dado rail, picture rail, windowboard, plinth and architrave blocks, and panelling. Materials named on the site are moisture-resistant MDF, oak and pine.

Among the best-selling MDF profiles listed are Edwardian, 330, Ogee, Torus and Lambs Tongue skirting boards, with prices ranging from £7.32 to £46.50 depending on the profile and variant. The oak range includes Torus, Ogee, 1 Step, Classic Lambs Tongue and Edwardian skirting boards, priced between £45.00 and £85.00. The site notes that plinth and architrave blocks can no longer be ordered primed.

Manufacturing and bespoke work

Production takes place in-house using what the company describes as the latest machinery, supported by specialist production teams and large capacity capability. Standard lines are bulk stocked, with more than 60 variations ready for fast dispatch, and products are available in lengths up to 4.2 metres. For non-standard requirements, the company works with architects to match period features or to realise contemporary designs supplied as CAD drawings, and it can produce samples for client approval. Free samples are also advertised.

Trade and retail customers

The company serves both professional and private buyers. On the trade side, it names building merchants, house builders, shop fitters and architects, large or small, as its customer base. For the public, it positions skirting boards, architrave and dado rails as a way to enhance a room's appearance and provides guidance on choosing between profiles. Buying direct from the manufacturer is presented as a way to save money.

Delivery and ordering

Bulk discounts are advertised. The site states that product images are computer-generated illustrations and that CAD images or samples of a chosen profile can be requested by email.
