Kitchen Creations by Ability: bespoke kitchen and bedroom manufacturing near Chester

Kitchen Creations by Ability is a British furniture manufacturer and design company working from Saltney, on the outskirts of Chester. The company states that it was founded in 1992 and describes itself as well established in the North West of England and Wales. Its output covers complete kitchens, bedrooms and furniture for bathrooms, all made to measure for each client.

The firm presents itself as a bespoke manufacturer rather than a retailer of standard ranges, and says it handles projects from the initial design consultation through to installation.

Design consultation and project management

The company offers a design consultation service in which its designers work with the client from the start of the project to its completion. It describes a fully project-managed service that runs from that first consultation to installation, combining qualified designers with tradesmen and craftsmen.

Kitchen Creations states that it is among a select group of companies in the country employing designers who have completed the FDA kitchen design degree, a qualification it presents as raising professional standards in the sector. The team is described as working with a range of materials, techniques and colours.

Own manufacturing plant and machinery

Production takes place at a manufacturing plant located about a mile from the company's showroom in Chester. The firm reports continuous investment in machinery including beam saws, CNC equipment and edge banders, which it uses to make furniture under its own name. According to the company, this investment allows it to produce bespoke pieces at prices it describes as affordable and competitive.

Showroom and client base

The showroom, described as modern and inviting, displays what the company calls the latest kitchen innovations. Kitchen Creations works with both private individuals seeking a kitchen for their home and tradesmen looking for a reliable bespoke furniture maker.

Suppliers and product options

Over the years the company has built relationships with market leaders in order to offer current appliances, surface materials, storage solutions and other technologies, so that clients can choose from a broad set of options. It also publishes brochures and provides information on finance.

The company lists its service area as the whole of Chester and the North West, naming Chester, Wrexham, Mold, Whitchurch, Northwich, Knutsford, Winsford, Ellesmere Port, Wirral, Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington and Manchester.
