Giftbagshop.co.uk: gift bags and boxes made in Kent since 2000

Giftbagshop.co.uk is the trading name of notjustballoons.co.uk Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales (company number 04013367) with its registered office at 3 High Street, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. The business describes itself as a small team based in the South East that has been manufacturing bags and boxes since June 2000, and it sells both directly to consumers and to businesses needing branded packaging.

The operation combines manufacturing with retail: the company states that it sources its paper directly from the mill and makes every gift bag in the UK, which it presents as a way of keeping quality control and a consistent finish. Branding and personalisation work on many products is also handled in house.

The pearlised range and its materials

A central part of the catalogue is the company's own luxury pearlised collection, which it describes as handmade from premium-weight paper and board with a pearl sparkle finish. The site explains that the pearlised paper gives a soft, refined lustre rather than a glitter or high-shine effect, and that the bags are produced using heavyweight 290gsm board as standard. The range extends across gift bags and gift boxes, including pearlised gift boxes listed as a separate line.

Gift boxes: formats and finishes

The box catalogue is organised by construction and use rather than by occasion alone. It includes:

• Magnetic gift boxes, presented as a premium format
• Eco-friendly rigid gift boxes, described as offering the same luxury look without magnets and as fully recyclable
• Hamper-style boxes and gift hamper trays
• Wine bottle boxes
• Postal and letterbox gift boxes
• Decorative gift boxes, favour boxes, pillow boxes and zodiac boxes
• Food boxes and packaging
• Boxes grouped by colour

Bags, wrapping and finishing touches

Alongside boxes, the shop stocks branded, luxury, everyday and bottle gift bags, plus Christmas-specific bags and bottle bags. The wider range covers roll wrap and single-sheet gift wrap, cellophane and film wrap, gift tags, gift bows, and ribbons and bows in satin and fabric, organza, patterned, occasion, floristry and curling formats, as well as stick-on and pull-bows, raffia, twine, hessian and tulle netting. Tissue paper is sold in packs, as shredded tissue, as shredded kraft paper and in reams.

Branded and personalised packaging for businesses

For commercial customers the company offers custom branded packaging, branded gift bags, branded gift boxes and branded packaging accessories. The personalisation side covers personalised wedding boxes, vinyl branding, personalised gift boxes, branded napkins, personalised save-the-date cards, personalised gift tags and branded journals. The site frames this as packaging that elevates a brand, and the company notes that branding work is carried out in house.

Seasonal and occasion ranges

Christmas has a dedicated section covering gift bags, bottle bags and boxes, wrapping paper, gift boxes and hampers, tissue paper, tags and bows, ribbons and miscellaneous items, with a Christmas sale and wholesale area. The catalogue also groups products for Valentine's, Halloween, weddings, stationery, mailing and crafting, and includes licensed designs such as Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh and Harry Potter wrapping paper and gift bags. Prices shown at the time of writing included an eight-metre Peter Rabbit Christmas wrapping paper roll at £7.50, a four-metre Winnie the Pooh roll at £3.50, and large Polar Bear and Penguin and Harry Potter Christmas gift bags at £1.99 and £2.99 respectively.
