Building Materials Yorkshire Ltd

Building Materials Yorkshire Ltd: a trade-focused supplier of construction materials

Building Materials Yorkshire Ltd is a family-run business that sells building materials in the United Kingdom, aimed at builders, contractors and people carrying out their own DIY projects. Its catalogue is organised around the main stages of a construction or refurbishment job, and the company presents itself as combining branded products with competitive pricing and a customer service team drawn from the building supplies trade.

Orders over £500 including VAT qualify for free delivery. Deliveries are available across the UK; where an address falls outside the company's service area, the customer is told before the order is processed. The site also notes that, if a product is unavailable in certain geographical areas, alternative equal brands may be sent as substitutes.

Product ranges in the catalogue

The online catalogue is divided into broad collections, each with its own subcategories:

• Sand and aggregates: sand, gravel, rocksalt and cement.
• Bricks and blocks: bricks, concrete blocks, brick ventilation, DPC products, wall ties and wall starter kits, cavity wall closers, plus concrete and steel lintels under a groundworks and civils heading.

Bulk deals and pallet quantities

A dedicated bulk deals section groups products sold by the pallet or in multi-pack lots. It covers pallets of insulated plasterboard (Tekwarm PIR, EPS and HP+ thermal laminates), pallets of bagged products, packs of blocks, packs of sheet materials, pallets of insulation rolls, pallets of insulation slabs and pallets of plasterboard. The featured products shown at the time of writing illustrate this approach: for example, a 24-roll pallet of Isover Acoustic Partition Roll, a 24-roll pallet of Knauf Earthwool Loft Roll 44, a full pallet of 11mm OSB 3 Sterling Board, and pallet deals on Knauf, Siniat and Rockwool products.

Customer service and trade advice

The company states that its customer service team is backed by the building supplies trade and offers free advice on the products available. A contact channel is provided for reaching the team, and the site highlights customer service and bulk discounts as two of the reasons to buy from the business. It also describes itself as a family-run business and displays a Trustpilot rating of "Excellent" as part of its own presentation.

Ordering notes

The site carries a repeated notice that extended lead times may apply on PIR products. Prices are shown in pounds sterling, and the storefront includes a country selector listing the United Kingdom alongside a range of European countries, all displaying GBP pricing.
