Ashdown Gaming

Ashdown Gaming, a specialist tabletop and hobby shop

Ashdown Gaming describes itself as a one-stop shop for gaming and hobby needs. Its catalogue is organised around four broad areas: miniature games, card games, board games and the painting and modelling side of the hobby, with role-playing games and 3D printing also listed as sections. The shop sells online and also runs events, for which it lists a calendar and tickets.

Miniature games in the catalogue

The miniature range is built around several well-known systems and their sub-factions. Games Workshop titles form a large block, including Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Horus Heresy, Warcry, Necromunda, Kill Team, Blood Bowl, Warhammer Underworlds, Middle-Earth SBG, The Old World and Legions Imperialis, alongside Black Library books. Other miniature lines carried are Star Wars Legion, Star Wars Shatterpoint, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Corvus Belli's Infinity, Aristeia! and Warcrow, The Elder Scrolls and Bolt Action.

For Star Wars Legion the shop breaks the range down into core sets, accessories, terrain and the Galactic Empire, Galactic Republic, Rebel Alliance, Separatist Alliance and Shadow Collective factions.

Trading cards and board games

The card game section covers Pokémon TCG, Disney Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering, Star Wars Unlimited, Altered TCG, Flesh and Blood, One Piece, Gundam TCG and Marvel Champions, plus other TCGs and accessories. Single cards are sold separately for Lorcana, Pokémon, Star Wars Unlimited, Riftbound and Magic: The Gathering, and the shop also invites customers to sell it their cards. Board games are grouped with a selection of Asmodee's top titles and a general all-board-games listing.

Painting and modelling supplies make up a detailed part of the offer. Paints include the Warhammer Colour range (Tone Pro, Base, Layer, Contrast, Shade and Technical), Vallejo's Model Color, Model Wash, Panzer Aces, Game Color, Xpress Color, Game Air, Game Ink, Game Washes, Game Effects, Extra Opaque, Primer, Liquid Metal and Mecha Color lines, True Metallics, Scalecolor, Monument Hobbies and Two Thin Coats. The shop also stocks brushes under its own Ashdown Gaming name and Artis Opus, sprays, AK Real Color markers, modelling tools, Vallejo pigments, weathering and diorama effects, and painting accessories. Scenery and basing materials come from Siege Scenics, Geek Gaming Scenics, Gamers Grass and TT Combat.
