Tonic Studios

Tonic Studios, an online shop for cardmaking and papercraft

Tonic Studios runs a UK-based online store specialising in cardmaking and papercraft materials. The catalogue combines the company's own Tonic Studios and Nuvo product lines with ranges from other craft brands, and orders are shipped from a UK warehouse. The site states that shipping to the United States is available from that same UK warehouse, and that a telephone number is now mandatory at checkout because the shipping provider requires it to despatch orders.

Own brands: Tonic Studios and Nuvo

Under the Tonic Studios label the shop lists die-cutting equipment and accessories, including die-cutting machines, plates, storage binders and craft magnets, as well as tools, scissors and storage. The Nuvo range covers adhesives, embellishment and stamping tools, gilding flakes, mousse, glaze and paste, the Nuvo Drop Collection, pens and pencils, and shimmer powder. Foil Fusion adhesive sheets and luxury craft foil are also part of the own-brand offer.

Paper, card and Craft Perfect

The Craft Perfect line supplies acetate sheets, card blanks and envelopes, classic cardstock, glitter, pearlescent and mirror cardstock, patterned and smooth cardstock, ribbon, vellum paper and washi tape. Cardstock is also offered in variety packs, and the paper and card section is organised by these finishes and formats.

Tools, punches and binding

The tools section groups brushes and sponges, glass and non-stick mats, guillotines and trimmers, left-handed tools, scissors and knives, scoring and folding tools, and stamping tools and cleaners. Punch options include circle, confetti, edge and shaped paper punches, along with punch boards and the Crop-a-Dile corner, disc, eyelet and multi-hole punches. Binding and haberdashery items include the Cinch binding machine and its accessories, cartridges, binding bands, spines and wires, wire clippers, Velcro stickers and bookmarks. Photo albums, D-ring albums and page protectors and sleeves complete this area.

Other brands stocked

Beyond its own lines, the store carries products from 49 and Market, including the Botanical Buzz, Nature's Haven and Mistletoe and Memories collections with ink pads and patterned cardstock; American Crafts, with the Minc foil applicator and paper punches; Echo Park; Paige Evans; Little Birdie; Bazzil Cardstock; and Tim Holtz glass and non-stick mats, guillotines, trimmers, scissors, shears, knives and a stamping platform.

Kits, downloads and promotions

The Tonic Craft Kit is presented as a recurring craft kit with its own explanation, FAQ and shipping information, a newest kit and a section reserved for monthly subscribers. The shop also offers SVG files for download. Promotional sections include Constant Savers, Spotlight Die Sets, £1 Die Sets, Limited Time Deals, Craft'O'ween, Tick Tock Limited Stock, Weekender Bundles and Warehouse Clearance, plus price-banded selections under £10, under £5 and under £1.50, and bundle deals for Craft Perfect, Nuvo and clearance stock. A Gem Rewards programme and a section called The Craft Room are also part of the site.

Shipping threshold

The store advertises free UK shipping on orders over £20. Prices are shown in pounds sterling for the United Kingdom, and the site lets visitors switch country and currency from a long list of international destinations.
