SG Tree Services

SG Tree Services: tree surgery across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire

SG Tree Services is a tree surgery company based in Alford, Aberdeenshire, that works on tree, hedge and garden care for domestic and commercial properties throughout Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland. The company describes itself as owner-run, with Stephen at the head of operations, and states that its team is professionally trained and has many years of experience.

The firm presents itself as a specialist tree surgeon able to handle any requirement, and frames its main goal as total customer satisfaction. Its stated operating principles are competitive pricing, high-quality work without shortcuts, and round-the-clock availability.

Tree removal and dismantling

Tree removal is one of the core services. The team removes trees safely and efficiently, and the company states that it checks with local authorities to ensure any required permission is in place before the work begins. The service list also covers tree felling and tree dismantling, which addresses the controlled taking down of trees where a straight fell is not appropriate.

Pruning, maintenance and stump grinding

On the maintenance side, SG Tree Services offers pruning and a set of related operations: crown reduction, crown lifting, crown thinning, deadwood removal, branch removal and pollarding. The company explains that correct pruning improves the health of a tree, enhances its overall appearance, removes dead, diseased or dying branches and lets more light into the tree. Tree maintenance also covers jobs such as removing an unwanted branch or dealing with branches growing through overhead wires.

Stump grinding is offered for unwanted stumps, which are removed to below ground level with a stump grinder, freeing up garden space previously occupied by a rotting stump. Tree planting is also listed, with the company offering advice when planning a planting.

Hedges and garden maintenance

Hedge work includes hedge trimming, hedge reduction and complete hedge removal. Garden maintenance is part of the service range as well, so the company presents itself as a provider of broader outdoor upkeep alongside arboricultural work.

Who the work is for and how quotes are handled

The company serves both domestic and commercial properties. It offers free quotes and states that its team can visit a business or personal residence in Aberdeen to provide one. The site also indicates that the team can assist with any tree removal or hedge service within a property.
