Twiggs and Thistles

Twiggs and Thistles, a family-run florist in Aberdeen

Twiggs and Thistles is a small family-run business operating from a home studio in Aberdeen city centre. The florist creates a variety of floral designs, including bouquets, gift arrangements and bespoke funeral tributes. Gemma, described as a highly trained florist, leads the work and the business states that it provides excellent customer service to all clients.

The company says it maintains high standards for flower quality and has a concern for the environment, which is why it uses locally grown British flowers from local suppliers wherever possible.

Gift flowers for every occasion

The shop offers gift flowers for any occasion, with a dedicated online section for gift arrangements. The catalogue shown at the time of writing includes an Orchid Plant at £17.99, and two named arrangements, Alba from £35.00 and Kirrie from £49.99. A flower subscription is also listed from £99.00.

A seasonal autumn collection is presented as “Autumn blooms perfect for every occasions”. The site also displayed a Valentine’s Day promotion: orders placed for any Valentine’s Day products using the code VALENTINES2024 before 1 February would receive a free box of chocolates.

Wedding and sympathy work

Wedding flowers are offered for the big day, with enquiries handled online. For sympathy occasions, the florist provides bespoke funeral tributes and a dedicated sympathy section for online ordering.

Delivery across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire

Same-day flower delivery is available in Aberdeen and nearby areas of Aberdeenshire. The business also runs workshops and maintains a blog, and it offers a “Remind Me” service, presumably for occasions.
