The saltwater pool is heated but seasonal, with a published Memorial Day-to-Labor Day schedule. It should not be counted on for an autumn 2026 stay. The current policy page also says daily housekeeping is on hold. Same-day reservations and bookings for the limited dog-friendly rooms require a telephone call. Dylan makes sense for a traveler planning to drive around the area, rather than expecting the central streets outside the door.
The Herwood Inn: independence with a carefully chosen suite
The Herwood Inn offers four accommodations on Tinker Street with kitchenettes and private outdoor areas. Nicks Nook is specifically described as accessible, with a ramp and open shower; the upstairs King Suite has a different access arrangement. Dog acceptance is limited to Franklin Flat and Mitchell Manor.
Contactless arrival, no daily housekeeping and a shared hot tub used by one group at a time define the service model. Parking allows one vehicle per suite, and there is a two-night minimum. Reservations are made online; the guest telephone is supplied after confirmation. Choose Herwood for a small, independent stay, Woodstock Way for creekside suite living near the center, or Dylan for its design and road access. The best fit is the one whose everyday arrangements support the journey.
