Maskay guide

Where can you watch NBA, NFL and other sports in Minneapolis with burgers and big screens?

Downtown Minneapolis offers three different ways to follow a game: Tom’s Watch Bar’s immersive screens, Stadium Bar & Grill’s many TVs, and Crooked Pint’s large pub screen and neighborhood menu.

A game night in Minneapolis can begin near an arena and end over a burger, but the right venue depends on the kind of screen and the sport you want to follow. Downtown, within a few blocks of one another, Tom’s Watch Bar, Stadium Bar & Grill, and Crooked Pint Ale House offer three distinct formats: an immersive audiovisual show, a classic multi-TV sports bar, and a pub with a standout screen and a broad menu.

Tom’s is on Hennepin Avenue between Target Center and Target Field. The venue advertises more than 100 screens and a panoramic 360-degree screen; its event pages show NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL games, as well as local teams including the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, and Wild. The menu goes beyond burgers to include wings, shareable starters, and entrées, alongside beer and cocktails. It is the clearest choice when the broadcast itself is the main event; check the schedule and consider a reservation for a specific game or a busy date.

A few blocks away, Stadium Bar & Grill follows the familiar sports-bar formula of flat-screen TVs, a full menu, and a casual bar. Its website advertises 12 large screens for college basketball and highlights handcrafted burgers, house-made pizza, and pasta. Crooked Pint, on Washington Avenue South, offers a pub setting: its Minneapolis page says special sporting events are shown on every TV and calls one screen among the largest downtown. Its menu has nearly 60 choices, including Juicy Lucys, wings, tacos, and tater tots; on Sundays with a noon Vikings home game, it says it opens at 9 a.m.

These venues sit along the Hennepin, Warehouse District, and Washington Avenue corridors, close to sports arenas and stadiums. Metro Transit says the Blue and Green lines reach Target Field, with buses nearby; Meet Minneapolis also lists transit connections for Target Center. That makes public transportation a practical option, although service can change during construction or major events. Reviews for the individual venues often mention screen visibility, pub food, and group atmosphere. Since each business schedules broadcasts differently, confirm that it will show your game, carry the sound, and be open before setting out.
