The cheese trolley extends the savory progression, while the cellar and sommelier service make wine part of the structure of the meal. That does not require a costume: the restaurant expressly sets no dress code. Nor should the detailed menu be confused with an obligatory tasting sequence. Its à la carte format lets a couple build a celebration around the courses they actually want, with classical desserts offering a final direction.
For someone planning a French restaurant date, the distinction is useful. La Baguette offers the flexibility of a bistro rooted in a family bakery; Fait Maison calls for a purposeful trip to Edmond and greater interest in classical composed dishes. Neither needs a claim to be the city’s undisputed best. Their menus provide a sounder reason to choose: one makes French cooking part of an adaptable local meal, and the other makes the sequence of a French dinner the occasion itself.
