Three chiropractic and rehabilitation practices in Corona, Queens

A closer look at the teams, addresses and appointments at three Corona practices.

A person looking for help with persistent back or neck pain in Corona, Queens, may encounter practices that combine chiropractic with physical therapy and other services. The names on a directory do not explain who provides each service, where a center is located or how its appointments are organized. Three offices on Junction Boulevard, 101st Street and Roosevelt Avenue offer different answers.

Synergy: a team on Junction Boulevard

At 43-04 Junction Boulevard, suite B, Synergy Physical Therapy & Chiropractic lists chiropractors Misty Dickason, Steven Nissenbaum and James Rittersbach alongside physical therapist Joann Gallart. The distinction is useful when calling: a patient seeking an examination by a chiropractor should request that service rather than assume that every therapy appointment is with the same kind of professional.

Its location listing reports an accessible entrance. Some patient accounts describe friendly staff and therapy; others in the listing mention an apparently different business and practitioner. We did not use those uncertain comments to characterize this office. Synergy's telephone is 718-489-3119.

NewTown: three disciplines and Saturday hours

NewTown Pain Care, on the second floor of 33-10 101st Street, names chiropractor Hugo Pacheco, physical therapist Dongeon Kim and acupuncturist Paul Minseok Tak. Its published hours extend to Saturday morning, an option for readers whose work prevents weekday visits. Ask which professional is available for the service you want.

Recent comments describe communication and reception. One patient specifically praises a therapy session with Kim: that is a physical therapy experience, rather than evidence about another clinician's chiropractic care. NewTown's number is 347-708-1294, and its listing reports an accessible entrance.

FACHIROPT: Corona, Bronx and Harlem

FACHIROPT lists its Corona office at 100-05 Roosevelt Avenue, suite 102, with a split weekday schedule. It also has offices on Westchester Avenue in the Bronx and East 107th Street in Harlem; their addresses and telephone numbers appear together in the profile. Use 718-446-0002 for Corona. The practice offers chiropractic and physical therapy and says records may be requested without a charge.

The Corona listing had two public ratings at the time of review. A small number of comments gives less context than a long record of independent experiences, and a separate business sharing the address should not be counted as the same practice.

Choosing an appointment

Explain the symptoms and previous care, ask which clinician will evaluate you, and request the expected charges and insurance information before agreeing to a plan. Serious injury or new neurological symptoms warrant appropriate medical assessment rather than a routine chiropractic booking.

Bottom line

Compare the clinician, location and services that fit your situation.
