Three Baltimore markets, three neighborhood clocks
Baltimore’s farmers markets make more sense as a set of neighborhood outings than as one central destination. Waverly has a Saturday market that continues through winter; Patterson Park’s Tuesday market was a new warm-season addition and ended on Oct. 27; the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s waterfront market is still listed through Nov. 21. Together they show three ways a market can work here: a long-running neighborhood institution, a seasonal park gathering, and a museum-side food and maker event.
At 32nd Street Farmers Market in Waverly, Saturdays begin early: the organizer posts 7 a.m.–noon year-round at 400 E. 32nd Street. It says the market has more than 70 booths and selects vendors who grow or make the goods they sell. The weekly scene is therefore broader than a produce stop, but the vendor list changes. The official FAQ names free on-site parking, nearby lots and street spaces, bike racks, and short walks from CityLink Red and Silver and the Circulator. Several vendors take SNAP/EBT; Maryland Market Money can match eligible purchases up to $20 when funding is available.
Patterson Park Farmers Market brought a Tuesday afternoon option to the General Casimir Pulaski Monument at Eastern Avenue and South Linwood Avenue. Visit Baltimore listed more than 25 vendors selling fresh produce, locally sourced meat and eggs, pickles, prepared and takeaway food, local art, handmade goods and food-truck fare. Some vendors accepted SNAP. The inaugural calendar ran Tuesdays, 3–7 p.m., through Oct. 27, 2026, so it has ended for the year. The visitor listing also reports nearby on-street parking; treat that as a neighborhood option, not a reserved space or guarantee of availability.
At the BMI Farmers Market, the museum’s South Baltimore waterfront property becomes a Saturday morning market. The museum’s 2026 calendar gives May 16–Nov. 21, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., with locally sourced produce, artisanal foods, handmade goods, live music, themed days and activities for all ages. The current vendor page gives a more concrete sense of the mix: Valencia Farms lists fruit, vegetables and herbs; Two Oceans True Foods offers pasture-raised poultry, pork and eggs plus seafood; B&H Roastery brings coffee, while prepared-food and craft vendors attend on different weeks. The museum lists free on-site parking for guests; the precise weekly lineup is subject to change.
The sites sit in different parts of the city: Waverly north of downtown, Patterson Park in Southeast Baltimore, and BMI along the harbor south of the Inner Harbor. For Waverly, the organizer specifically identifies CityLink Red and Silver and Charm City Circulator stops within a short walk. For the other two, use the full intersection or museum address in a route planner and check the Maryland Transit Administration’s live maps; bus service depends on the starting point and current schedules. Parking is documented only in the way each source states it: Waverly’s official FAQ names on-site and nearby options, Visit Baltimore mentions nearby street parking at Patterson, and BMI describes free on-site parking to museum guests.
For a late-October shopper, Waverly and BMI remain the clearest listed choices: Waverly operates year-round, and BMI’s 2026 season continues through Nov. 21. Patterson Park’s published final date was Oct. 27. Food benefits can make a difference, but availability is vendor-specific: Waverly explains how SNAP/EBT and Maryland Market Money work and warns that matching funds may run out; Patterson’s listing says some vendors accepted SNAP; BMI’s vendor directory identifies payment methods for individual stalls. None of these markets publishes a single average basket cost. Arrive with a flexible list, check the day’s vendors, and confirm dates before travelling.
For a current Baltimore market visit, Waverly runs year-round and the BMI waterfront market is listed through Nov. 21; Patterson Park’s 2026 season has ended.
