Who Are We?

The Best Dog is a Professional Canine School, directed by Elva Avalos Otero, who has over 20 years of experience in canine psychology and training. The school is located in the district of Cieneguilla, 26 km southeast of Lima, in the Río Lurin valley, with a dry and sunny climate all year round. Our facilities include large green areas dedicated exclusively for pets, as well as properly trained staff to attend to pets with professionalism and care.

Services

• Canine Training: We offer training courses in different specialties such as education and obedience, guardianship and protection, competitions, agility, and canine exhibitions. The courses are conducted at home or at the school, with sessions three times a week. In the first phase, the basics of commands are taught, in the second phase the behavior is reinforced, and in the third phase the training is perfected with the owner's participation.
• Canine Boarding: The boarding service includes the pickup and return of the pet, guaranteeing a family and comfortable experience. Pets have access to large gardens to expend their energy and are attended to by trained staff.
• Canine Exhibitions: The school conducts canine exhibitions in the specialties of obedience, agility, attack and defense, participating in institutions, schools, and community events. These exhibitions allow children to have contact with dogs and learn about their behavior and skills.

Teaching Methodology

The teaching methods are based on conditioning through positive reinforcement, stimuli, and motivation, which helps dogs to develop new behavioral patterns and to correct bad habits. The training for guardianship and protection begins with obedience teaching, which allows the dog to enjoy its natural instincts and use them correctly.
