What is APSAV?

The creator is the basis of the cultural process and the initial link in the value-added chain in the entertainment, communication and culture industries. Creators, whether musicians, poets, writers, painters, sculptors, graphic designers, engravers, video artists, audiovisual creators or software program creators, etc., have intellectual property rights over the works they create. When their work, like any other property, is used, it is fair that they enjoy the benefits generated by this use, and this is the basis upon which the copyright system is built, recognized by national and international legislation, as well as by various international treaties that Peru has signed, and by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the UN, whose article 27 states: "Every person has the right to the protection of their moral and material interests derived from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which they are the author." The creator is the basis of the cultural process, without creators there are no contents, no work, no economic benefit, nor a chain of beneficiaries.
