Who are we?

The Peruvian Press Council (CPP) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan civil association dedicated to the defense of press freedom and the promotion of ethical practice in the profession. Its mission is to guarantee citizens' right to be fully informed and to foster transparency and access to public information.

Organization

The CPP is composed of media outlets associated with it, which are dedicated partially or fully to the field of journalistic information. Its basic governing body is the General Assembly, composed of these media outlets.

The CPP publishes statements on relevant topics, such as the protection of journalists, access to public information, and the defense of freedom of expression. Among its recent actions are the denunciation of the lack of sworn interest declarations by congress members and the promotion of the responsibility of adolescents during the pandemic.
