Iceland Car Rental

Car hire for a self-drive trip

Iceland Car Rental offers vehicles for visitors arranging a self-drive holiday, with pickup and return options at Keflavík International Airport and a Reykjavík city office. The online booking flow lets customers select dates, times and collection points before reviewing the available vehicles. The fleet listings include compact cars such as a Toyota Aygo and larger 4WD models such as the Dacia Duster, Dacia Bigster and Kia Sportage.

Choosing a vehicle and route

The website distinguishes two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive cars and identifies some models for F-road travel. Those specifications matter when planning routes outside paved roads; travellers should confirm which roads their rental agreement permits and check current road conditions before driving. The company also publishes guides about the Ring Road, South Coast, Golden Circle, northern lights, seasonal weather, clothing and safe driving in Iceland.

Included rental features

The company states that its rentals include insurance and an additional driver, with gravel, sand-and-ash and theft protection included in the listed coverage. It also advertises no deposit, unlimited mileage and keybox pickup and return. Coverage limits, exclusions, driver requirements and any optional extras remain subject to the rental terms for the selected vehicle, so customers should read the agreement and ask about any route-specific restrictions before booking.

Collection and customer support

The booking information describes online check-in and self-service keybox collection, allowing travellers to collect a vehicle without a traditional counter queue. The company lists Blikavöllur 3 in Reykjanesbær and provides +354 773 7070 and info@icelandcarrental.is for questions. Customers can confirm flight-arrival arrangements, return instructions, insurance conditions and the pickup point before travel.
