Aquaristikshop.com: an online aquarium store running since 1998

Aquaristikshop.com is an online retailer of aquarium equipment and livestock supplies that presents itself as operating since 1998. Its catalogue is described as covering roughly 8,000 products for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, spanning complete tanks, filtration, lighting, CO2 systems, plant care, food and technical accessories. The store positions itself around established manufacturers and specialist brands, alongside personal expert advice and made-to-measure aquariums.

Product range across the aquarium setup

The catalogue is organised by the parts of an aquarium system rather than by brand alone. The main blocks visible in the shop are:

• Aquariums and tanks, including standard, OptiWhite, nano and plastic models, plus cabinets, covers and thermo safety pads.
• LED lighting from Aquatlantis, Chihiros, EHEIM, Fluval, Sera, SolarStinger, Tetra and Juwel, alongside fluorescent tubes, clip lights, lamps and reflectors.
• CO2 technology from Dennerle, JBL and Aqua Medic, with kits, cylinders, Söchting carbonators and accessories.
• External and internal filters, thermo, undergravel, sponge and saltwater filters, plus filter media, cartridges, foam and bacterial starters.
• Food for fish, shrimp and crabs, turtles, baby fish and corals, together with automatic feeders and Artemia hatching units.
• Plant care, fertilisers, substrates, in-vitro plants, moss pads and algae control.
• Water conditioners, tests, sea salt, minerals and medications.
• Pumps, heating and cooling equipment, osmosis units, UV sterilisers, skimmers and ozonisers.
• Aquascaping glassware, tools, soil and hardscape, plus a dedicated nano and saltwater/reef section.

The shop lists a broad set of manufacturers with dedicated sections, among them EHEIM, JBL, Fluval, Aqua Medic, Dennerle, Sera, Tetra, Juwel, OASE, AQUAEL, Chihiros, Aquatlantis, SolarStinger, DOOA and Dr. Bassleer. Spare parts and accessories are also organised by brand, with separate EHEIM and JBL spare parts and accessories categories.

Custom aquariums and expert advice

Beyond standard products, the store offers aquariums made to measure, described as individually planned around the customer's project, and invites customers to discuss their aquarium project. It also presents personal expert advice as part of its offer, alongside the brand selection.

Customers can collect bonus points through purchases and redeem them for a discount. The shop presents this as a loyalty programme with its own section explaining how the points work.
