Laundromat Art Space is an artist-run organization dedicated to promoting local artists through innovative curatorial opportunities and artistic programming for the community.

History

Founded in 2015 by a group of artists who had just completed residencies at other institutions, the space occupies a former laundromat transformed in the vibrant Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami.

Facilities

It features 4,500 square feet, 11 artist studios, and a gallery. It is characterized by contemporary art exhibitions with local, national, and international works.

Current residents include: Mark Herrera, Bella Cardim, Pablo Matute, Michelle Rusinek, Roscoe B. Thicke III, Julia Zurilla, Denise Treizman, Claudio Marcotulli, Roxana Barba, Devora Perez, Donna Ruff, Juan Henriquez, Lisu Vega, and Pablo Contrisciani.
