About El Espacio 23

El Espacio 23 is a contemporary art space founded by collector and philanthropist Jorge M. Pérez. It is located in a repurposed 28,000-square-foot warehouse in Miami's Allapattah neighborhood.

Collection

It houses the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, a private collection dedicated to contemporary art, with significant holdings of African and Afro-descendant art, Latin American, U.S., and European contexts. The collection operates as a platform for dialogue and exchange.

Exhibitions and Programs

They offer regular exhibitions, special projects, and residencies. A notable past exhibition was "A World Far Away, Nearby and Invisible" (November 2025 - August 2026), curated by Claudia Segura Campins in dialogue with curators from the Pérez Collection.

Residencies

The space features three apartments and a shared workspace for residency programs. It includes accommodation, a shared studio, and a production budget for artists and curators at various stages of their careers.

Public programming is always free and open to all: artist talks, guided tours, screenings, performances, and educational initiatives.
