Holiday Inn Club Vacations Sunset Cove Resort is a small villa-style property at 571 W Elkcam Cir on Smokehouse Bay. All accommodations are three-bedroom villas designed for families and groups, with significantly more living space than a standard hotel room. Full kitchens, dining areas and in-unit washers and dryers make the resort particularly practical for multi-night stays.

The property is not directly on the beach, but it operates a complimentary shuttle to Marco Island beach areas, an important part of the experience for guests who do not want to deal with limited beach parking. On site, there is an outdoor zero-entry pool, hot tub, fitness room, game room, barbecue facilities and bayside areas for relaxing. Bicycles and selected beach equipment are also available subject to availability.

There is no full restaurant on the property, so guests typically use the villa kitchen or walk and drive to nearby dining. The resort is small—only a few dozen villas—and feels more residential than the large beachfront towers on South Collier Boulevard.

Sunset Cove is best for families and groups who prioritize space, kitchen and laundry facilities, and do not mind using a shuttle rather than stepping directly from the hotel onto the sand.
