The Citizen is a neighborhood tavern in the heart of Fenway, Boston, where good whisky and good company come together. It is one of the best whisky bars in the United States, recognized for its extensive collection and its family-style whole roasted pig dinners.

Whisky Collection

It features more than 350 different whiskies and has been highlighted as one of the Top 100 Whisky Bars in America by Whisky Advocate in January 2025. Additionally, since 2013, The Bourbon Review has included it on its list of Best Bourbon Bars in America, being the only bar in New England to achieve this recognition for nine years (2013-2022, 2024).

Pig Roast

Its specialty is the whole roasted pig, a family-style dinner with a suckling pig slowly cooked for 14 hours, enough for ten diners. Whisky Advocate has described it as the most intriguing whisky dinner in the nation.
