About Us

We Grow Microgreens, LLC is an urban farm located in Hyde Park, Boston. Since 2015, founders Lisa Evans and Tim Smith have transformed an underutilized parcel of land into a thriving farm growing microgreens, edible flowers, herbs, medicinal plants, tea leaves, and tropical plants. The company is certified as a minority-owned business by the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office and the City of Boston.

What We Offer

The farm produces and sells a wide variety of fresh and sustainable products:

  • Microgreens (arugula, cilantro, peas, mixes, etc.)
  • Fresh tea leaves (soursop, bay leaf, rum, etc.)
  • Edible flowers
  • Tropical plants and fruit trees (guava, fig, etc.)
  • Medicinal herbs
  • Fresh produce
  • Handcrafted items
  • Herbal tea blends for immunity

Services

In addition to product sales, We Grow Microgreens offers educational and rental services:

  • Microgreen growing classes for adults and children: include in-person demonstration, a kit to grow at home, and are available for events, office parties, and birthdays.
  • Plant rentals for parties, events, and photo shoots, with plant options of 1', 3', and 5'.

Where to Find Us

The farm operates a farmstand at its main location and participates in several local farmers markets:

  • Farmstand: 21 Norton St, Hyde Park, MA 02136 (summer hours: Wednesdays, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
  • Farmers markets: Natick, Mattapan, Roslindale, and Newton

They accept SNAP, WIC, and HIP. Orders can be placed by email for pickup at the farmstand or markets.

Sustainability

The farm features translucent pink solar panels from Soliculture and a retractable Smartflower solar panel, making it partially solar-powered. It also includes a butterfly trail adjacent to the greenhouse, with native plants and resting areas.
