Damasquinados Suárez

Damasquinados Suárez is a workshop and shop devoted to damascening, Toledo's most characteristic craft alongside the sword: the technique of inlaying gold and silver thread onto a blackened steel base, forming geometric and floral motifs of Andalusi tradition.

At its shop on Paseo del Circo Romano you can see goldwork and jewelry made with this technique —plates, jewelry, accessories— and often the artisanal process itself. It is an option to take home an authentic piece of the city's damascene work.
