401 Games: board games, trading cards and tabletop wargaming in Toronto and Vaughan

401 Games is a Canadian retailer focused on board games, collectible card games, sports cards and tabletop wargames. Its online catalogue is organised around new releases, restocks and pre-orders, and the company presents itself as "Canada's Source for Board Games, Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Sports Cards, Yugioh and other Great Games". The business operates two locations, identified on the site as Downtown Toronto (Yonge/Bloor) and Vaughan (Hwy 7/Keele), and runs an events programme at both.

A broad trading card game selection

The trading card side covers both sealed product and individual cards. The catalogue lists Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Digimon Card Game, Gundam Card Game, Flesh and Blood TCG, Dragon Ball Super, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz and Metazoo. For several of these games, the store separates sealed product, singles and, in some cases, playsets, and it maintains "Collector's Corner" sections for high-end singles in Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Super and Weiss Schwarz. Magic: The Gathering is broken down further into booster boxes, bundles and fat packs, Commander decks, Challenger, Event and Planeswalker decks, all sealed product and foreign sealed product.

Sports cards and card supplies

Sports cards have their own section, with dedicated categories for hockey, baseball and basketball and a link to Upper Deck products filtered by in-stock items. The supplies catalogue is extensive: standard-size and small/Yu-Gi-Oh!-size sleeves from Dragon Shield, Ultra Pro and Perfect Fits/Pro-Fits; board game sleeves in standard card game, standard American, mini American, standard European, mini European and square sizes; deck boxes and storage from Ultimate Guard, Ultra Pro and assorted brands; binders and binder pages; dice and dice trays; playmats and playmat tubes for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and assorted designs; and sports card supplies.

Events at two locations

401 Games runs an events programme with a full calendar, a "Downtown Legacy 3K" event and events sorted by location: Toronto (Yonge/Bloor) and Vaughan (Hwy 7/Keele). Events are also organised by game — Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Disney Lorcana, Flesh & Blood, Digimon, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, One Piece and Hololive — and by day of the week, Monday through Sunday. The online store also sells gift cards and lets users switch the displayed currency between CAD and USD.
