Orono Collectibles Den

Orono Collectibles Den: action figures and comics for Canadian collectors

Orono Collectibles Den is a Canadian retailer focused on action figures and comic books, operating primarily as an online shop at ocdnow.ca. Its catalogue is organised around the major collector-oriented toy lines and around weekly comic releases, and the store ships across Canada and the United States. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars for Canadian customers and in US dollars for the United States, and the site is available in English and French.

Action figure lines in the catalogue

The figure side of the business is built on licensed lines from large franchises, presented through dedicated sections:

• Marvel Legends Series, including X-Men '97, New Mutants and Marvel Super Heroes sub-lines
• G.I. Joe Classified Series
• Transformers: Generations
• Star Wars: The Black Series and Star Wars: The Vintage Collection
• DC Multiverse, DC Premier Series, DC Legacy Collection and DC Ultimate Edition
• The Legend of Zelda: Heroes of Hyrule
• Street Fighter, including Ultimate Street Fighter II and a 2026 line
• KPop Demon Hunters and Combatants: Fight for Glory

Individual listings in the shop show specific figures with their prices, such as the Marvel Legends Boomerang at $39.99 CAD, Green Goblin at $69.99 CAD, Doc Samson at $42.99 CAD, X-Men '97 Beast at $49.99 CAD, New Mutants Cypher at $39.99 CAD, the Magic: The Gathering Doctor Doom 2099 and Malice (Sue Storm) at $55.99 CAD each, and G.I. Joe Classified Series #221 Cobra Commander (Dress Uniform and Throne) at $89.99 CAD.

Comics: new releases, pre-orders and publishers

The comic book section is divided between new releases and pre-orders, with a publisher-based structure covering Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image, IDW and Top Cow, among others. The store also groups titles under thematic imprints and universes: Absolute Universe, Midnight Universe and Energon Universe. Pre-orders are offered on upcoming single issues, variant covers and rarer collectibles.

The shop publishes a weekly New Comic Book Day update; the entry dated 14 October 2026 listed fresh titles from Marvel, DC, IDW and Top Cow arriving that Wednesday. A separate news item reported DC's announcement of Absolute Justice, described as the first major crossover event of the Absolute Universe, scheduled for April 2027 and written by Jason Aaron with art by Juan Ferreyra.

Pre-order activity across the main lines

Pre-orders are a central part of the offer and are announced as new waves are revealed by the manufacturers. Recent announcements on the site included a Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series wave with Queen Amidala, Padawan Anakin Skywalker and a Galactic Marine; the Marvel Legends Avengers: Doomsday 6-inch wave featuring Beast, Nightcrawler and Lord Doom (Concept Series); the G.I. Joe Classified Series NYCC wave; and Marvel Legends Series Mini Comics Wave 3. The store also promotes upcoming lines such as KPop Demon Hunters and Street Fighter (2026).

How the store is organised

The site separates an action figure and collectibles hub from a comics area, each with its own pre-order section, and adds a news page for release updates and manufacturer announcements. Navigation is grouped by toy line and by comic publisher, which lets buyers go directly to a franchise or an imprint. Orders can be placed through the online cart, and some listings are flagged as deferred, subscription or recurring purchases subject to a cancellation policy.
