El Ingrediente

A small Alenza restaurant with a counter and dining room, creatively updated comfort food and half portions that make sharing easier.

About El Ingrediente

El Ingrediente occupies a small space on Calle Alenza, near Ponzano in Ríos Rosas. The kitchen starts with recognizable recipes and gives them an individual twist; the restaurant appears in the Repsol Guide's 2026 selection and in Macarfi. Its appeal lies in the scale of a neighborhood dining spot where culinary curiosity does not need to become a formal special occasion.

Slow-cooked dishes sit alongside ideas drawn from further afield. Braised cheeks come with red curry and Thai rice, while duck tartare is finished with fried capers and Japanese-style mayonnaise. Familiar ingredients meet different sauces and accompaniments, rather than disappearing beneath an elaborate concept. The menu offers half and full portions, alongside changing specials.

Choose between a 22-seat dining room and a ten-seat counter serving the same food. The room is better suited to a quieter conversation; the counter offers a more informal setting closer to the kitchen's activity. The small scale and flexible portions are central to the restaurant's character, and there is no need to assume that everyone should order a full portion of every dish.
