Vegan Ramen UZU Kyoto
A Gosho-Minami vegan restaurant combining a ramen-centered course with a teamLab installation: a special experience, not an inexpensive bowl.
About Vegan Ramen UZU Kyoto
UZU Kyoto combines plant-based ramen and digital art in Gosho-Minami. A teamLab work reflects across a polished black table, making the setting part of the meal. It invites attention to both the bowl and its surroundings rather than a quick visit to a ramen counter.
The broth draws its depth from kombu, shiitake mushrooms and vegetables. That foundation explores umami without animal ingredients, with choices using soy sauce and fermented mugwort or spicy miso and sake kasu. The point is a fully developed plant-based bowl, not simply replacing a meat topping.
The UZU Signature Course, listed at ¥8,800 on September 17, 2026, includes a welcome drink, two appetisers, ramen, dessert and another drink. Only full courses are served. It fits a special meal combining vegan food and art, rather than a search for inexpensive ramen. Guests with reservations have priority, and children aged six or younger are not admitted.
